10 Days Serengeti Safari With Ndutu

Day 01: Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport our VIP Visa Specialist will meet and welcome you to East Africa. He guides you through the entire Tanzania Visa application process and skipping long immigration queues. With Harmony Safaris Expeditions you will be escorted from arrival to departure, making your arrival to Tanzania completely worry-free. Upon exiting the airport, A Harmony Safaris Expeditions representative will be holding a poster with your name who will transfer you to Arusha (45- minutes) for overnight at African Tulip on Bed and Breakfast.

Day 02: Tarangire National Park – Game drive

08h00 Meet and greet at African Tulip for pre safari briefing: Depart 08h30 from Arusha with a 4x4 and drive to Tarangire National Park which is a unique place and an absolutely fantastic in this time of the year. Viewing some of Tanzania's largest populations of elephant and enjoying the diverse scenery, including the dramatic baobab trees that are so typical of the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the stretch of Tarangire River. More game drive until end of the day you drive to Sangaiwe Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Tarangire National Park

Sunrise guide walk in Tarangire start your day refreshed as you watch the bush come to life from the Private deck of your tent. There is no better way to be up close and personal to the wild than to take a walking safari. Feel the ancient earth beneath every step you take as you tread on the tracks of animals that have walked the same path minutes before. This afternoon you have time to take a Refreshing or relax on your private deck with a cool drink and gaze out to the waterhole watching as the game lazily congregates in the shade to escape the midday sun. As the afternoon progresses and you exit Tarangire, drive the short distance to Manyara Private Concession for dinner and overnight at Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp.
Head out for Night game drive around the Savannah grassland that will take you to encounter nocturnal animals such as lions, leopards, porcupines, civet cats, white tailed mongoose aardvarks and cape hares. Night game drive is one of the most popular and exciting activity on safari

Day 04: Lake Manyara National Park – Game drive

Breakfast with best fine view and you leave the camp and with en-route game drive to Tarangire gate for exit and drive the short distance to Lake Manyara National Park for Full Day game viewing to this unique park with an alkaline lake and breathtaking views. Here you will view a wide variety of wildlife and the acacia woodlands offer the best overall wildlife viewing in the park. Enjoy your Picnic lunches under the Acacia trees. This habitat is favored by the park's famous tree- climbing lions, leopards and giraffes and can claim the greatest elephant concentration in East Africa. Algae thrive in the high saline content of the lake. Huge and colorful flocks of birds gather in the water to feed, including many different varieties of birds that coexist together. In fact, well over 300 different species of birds have been recorded here; continue with afternoon game drive and later drive to the Lush retreat of Country Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 05: Ngorongoro Crater Africa’s “Garden of Eden”

Early breakfast and drive the short distance to Ngorongoro Loduare gate and today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater during a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. High walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck, the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Drive back to Country Lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 06: Central Serengeti National Park.

Breakfast, With Picnic Lunches drive to Serengeti National Park. A brief visit en-route to Olduvai Gorge, which is often referred to as 'The Cradle of Mankind' and is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Proceed to Serengeti National Park - with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildlands Camp.

Day 07: Central Serengeti to see Mammals & Big cats.

06h00 Begin your sunrise safaris and return for late breakfast at 09h00. Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park gets its name from the Masai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. The Serengeti is located along the rift valley and is abound with geological formations. One of Serengeti’s defining features are its Kopjes pronounced copy, a feature of continual weathering. These islands in the sea of grass are formed as the top soil comprising of rock and ash is eroded exposing the covered layer of metamorphic rock. These exposed rock forms “kopjes” are round as a result of spherical wind weathering. The national park covers an area of 14800 square kilometers most of which is grass plains. These rich grass plains a result of ash deposited by volcanic eruptions, and is home to 3 million animals. Within these grass plains the scattered kopjes act as a heaven for animals from grass fires, predators and the heat. The game drives in this park are exceptional and game viewing incredible. This park offers the best opportunity of viewing Cheetah, Leopards and Lions. Return for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildlands Camp.

Day 08: Ndutu Plains - Southern Serengeti to see the Wildebeest Migration

Breakfast, drive to Ndutu Plains with picnic lunches for game drives in different area of the Plains along Lake Ndutu Time for watching wildebeest migration and other animals like lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalo’s etc. Your day refreshed as you watch the bush come to life from the private deck of your terrace watching as the game lazily congregates in the shade to escape the midday sun. Dinner and overnight at Ndutu Safari Lodge. A luxurious, intimate tented camp set close at the edge of Mash Rock kopjes Edge. Like the wildebeest that are the stars of the Serengeti Annual Migration.

Day 09: Ndutu Plains - Southern Serengeti to see the Wildebeest Migration.

06h00 Begin your sunrise safaris with picnic breakfast, and you can entirely dictate the pace of your day, in discussion with your guide. Search for lion or cheetah along the edge of the woodland or head out into the vast plains to get in amongst the wildebeest migration, along with herds of zebra and gazelle at every turn. You'll be surprised by the fabulous variety of bird life in this area as well as the carpet of flowers that develops with the first rains. Equally impressive are Tanzania’s magical sunsets, which out here are celebrated at traditional “sun downers” … like those you’ll enjoy at your Camp on your final night on safari, followed by a festive farewell dinner. Dinner and overnight at Ndutu Safari Lodge.

Day 10: Ndutu - Kilimanjaro International Airport

Early start today for an early morning game drive to see also nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light or breakfast at the lodge, and Morning go on your final game drive in ndutu Plains. Keep your eyes open for any elusive wildlife that you may not have seen, later on drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight.
