Day 01: Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport our VIP Visa Specialist will meet and welcome you to East Africa. He will guide you through the entire Tanzania Visa application process and skipping long immigration queues. With Harmony Safari Expeditions, you will be escorted from arrival to departure, making your arrival to Tanzania completely worry-free. Upon exiting the airport, Harmony Safari Expeditions representative will be holding a poster with your name who will transfer you to Arusha (45- minutes) for overnight at African Tulip on Bed and Breakfast.
Day 02: Tarangire National Park – Game drive
08h00 AM Meet and greet at African Tulip for pre safari briefing: Depart 08h30 from Arusha with 4x4 and drive to Tarangire National Park is a unique place and an absolutely fantastic in this time of the year. Viewing some of Tanzania's largest populations of elephant and enjoying the diverse scenery, including the dramatic baobab trees that are so typical of the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the stretch of Tarangire River. More game drive until end of the day you drive to Sangaiwe Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 03: Tarangire National Park – Game drive
Breakfast, soon after depart for full day game drive in Tarangire National Park for full day game drive. Evening drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Lodgeon full board.
Day 04: Lake Manyara National Park – Game drive
Breakfast with best fine view and you leave the camp and with en-route game drive to Tarangire gate for exit and drive the short distance to Lake Manyara National Park for Full Day game viewing to this unique park with an alkaline lake and breathtaking views. Here you will view a wide variety of wildlife and the acacia woodlands offer the best overall wildlife viewing in the park. Enjoy your Picnic lunches under the Acacia trees. This habitat is favored by the park's famous tree- climbing lions, leopards and giraffes and can claim the greatest elephant concentration in East Africa. Algae thrive in the high saline content of the lake. Huge and colorful flocks of birds gather in the water to feed, including many different varieties of birds that coexist together. In fact, well over 300 different species of birds have been recorded here; continue with afternoon game drive and later drive to the Lush retreat of Country Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 05: Manyara – Central Serengeti National Park.
Breakfast, With Picnic Lunches drive to Serengeti National Park. A brief visit en route to Olduvai Gorge, which is often referred to as 'The Cradle of Mankind' and is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Proceed to Serengeti National Park - with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildlands Camp.
Day 06: Central Serengeti to see Mammals & Big cats.
06h00 Begin your sunrise safaris and return for late breakfast at 09h00. Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park gets its name from the Masai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. The Serengeti is located along the rift valley and is abound with geological formations. One of Serengeti’s defining features are its Kopjes pronounced copy, a feature of continual weathering. These islands in the sea of grass are formed as the top soil comprising of rock and ash is eroded exposing the covered layer of metamorphic rock. These exposed rock forms “kopjes” are round as a result of spherical wind weathering. The national park covers an area of 14800 square kilometers most of which is grass plains. These rich grass plains a result of ash deposited by volcanic eruptions, and is home to 3 million animals. Within these grass plains the scattered kopjes act as a heaven for animals from grass fires, predators and the heat. The game drives in this park are exceptional and game viewing incredible. This park offers the best opportunity of viewing Cheetah, Leopards and Lions. Return for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildlands Camp.
Day 07: Central Serengeti to see Northern Serengeti
Early breakfast, today we start with another game drive through the Northern Serengeti and head to the Mara River, time to watch the wildebeest migration as the dominated by the Mara River, groaning with crocs and hippos, this area is great for elephant, big herds buffalo, lion, cheetah as well as leopard in the many kopjes that make this landscape so distinctive. Also look out for small Oribi, which thrives in this area, but is otherwise extremely scarce in northern Tanzania generally. Sunset game drives to Serengeti wilderness camp for dinner and overnight. A mid-range, intimate lodge set close at the edge of Makutano. Like the wildebeest that are the stars of the Serengeti Annual Migration, Mara under canvas is a wanderer; a mid-range under- canvas camp that moves with the seasons, forever following the herds to ensure you have a front-row seat to the greatest show on earth. Day 11: Serengeti National Park- Ngorongoro
Enjoy breakfast at the camp, then depart for final game drives in Serengeti with picnic lunch boxes. Afternoon proceed to Ngorongoro highlands for leisure and hot dinner. Overnight at Country Lodge on Full board.
Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater Africa’s “Garden of Eden- Kilimanjaro International Airport
Early breakfast and drive the short distance to Ngorongoro Loduare gate and today you will explore today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater during a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. Later on drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight.
