Durban: The province's largest city, has a sophisticated, cosmopolitan feel with restaurants, entertainment and shopping from modern to traditional arts and crafts on the beachfront. The city also has a calmer side with beautiful botanical gardens and sun drenched beaches.

Drakensberg - Ukhahlamba: On the western edge of the province is the world heritage site of the Drakensberg mountain range. A treat for outdoor enthusiasts, the mountain range includes Amphitheatre, Cathedral Peak and Giants Castle.

Elephant Coast: Situated on the northeastern side of the province, the Elephant Coast stretches 220km long and 70km wide. The stunning landscape consists of beach, bushveld, mountain and the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park, which is a world heritage site. The area offers a wide range of safari options including the 'big 5' wildlife safari, birding safari, ocean safari and cultural safari, plus many more.

Zululand and Battlefields: The heart of KwaZulu-Natal. Visitors to this area gain a real insight into the culture and the traditional tribal villages. The battlefield region of the Zulu Kingdom is a land of natural beauty, steeped in history.
